CONSULTATION

A consultation with a buttock surgeon is the first step towards improving the appearance of your buttocks.

London consultations are held in our central London consulting rooms at 10 Harley Street, London W1G 9PF

Norwich consultations at Holland Ct, The Close, Norwich, NR1 4DY

Brussels consultations at Avenue Louise, 284, Bruxelles 1050

Consultations are currently free and may be booked here or by clicking the pop-up link at the bottom of the page.

The consultation generally takes 30 minutes.

Surgery is performed at a later date at a CQC private hospital on Harley Street.

The purpose of a consultation with the cosmetic surgeon is to decide whether you are a good candidate for buttock augmentation and reshaping, and what are your surgical options.  The cosmetic surgeon will explain the details of the surgery including how the surgery carried out, what the risks are and what results you can expect to achieve.

At the start of the consultation, you will answer some questions about your past medical history, what surgical procedures you may have had (cosmetic and non-cosmetic), what other medical conditions you may have; what medication you are taking, and, if you have any allergy to medication.

It is also important to mention your profession is and what kind of activities you will be doing on a daily basis, including any sports you might partake in (you may have to have a break from some directly after the surgery), and, if you are planning to be pregnant in the near future.

The consultation is also your chance to explain to the doctor what your expectations are.

Finally, the consultation includes an examination, where you show to your surgeon what bothers you.  The surgeon will consider whether it is a problem of volume, of shape or just sagging buttocks that you want to correct.

The surgeon may take some measurements and with your permission take some photographs of the area to be treated, for your file.

If the main aspect that you wish to correct is volume, the surgeon will explain the options; either insertion of an implant, or, fat transfer or buttock injections using HA (Macrolane).

If you prefer to proceed without an implant, you have the choice between using your own fat (if you have enough available), or using some Hyaluronic acid (Macrolane or other Hyaluronic acid brand), which is easy to use, but does not last more than 2 years at maximum without needing to top up.

At the end of the consultation, the surgeon will recommend the best approach to achieved your desired shape.

If you are seeking a non-surgical buttock lift (buttock injections), it may be possible to proceed with an injection of filler on the day.

Augmentation material choice – Fat, Silicone Implant, Dermal Filler (Macrolane or HYAcorp).

The choice of natural semi-permanent fat transfer (also known as Brazilian Butt Lift), Silicone Implant, or temporary dermal filler will depend on the patient’s body type, their acceptance of risk (some methods are higher risk than others), and their personal goals.

The pros and cons of all three techniques are discussed in detail during the consultation.
