Who is injecting filler into your body?
(Are they a qualified doctor or, ideally, a Plastic Surgeon)
What is the brand name of the filler being injected?
(Is it made in Europe or China)
Is the doctor fully insured in case something goes wrong?
(Ask to see a copy of their insurance).
These are the most important questions you need to know the answers to.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are well known for adding volume to the cheeks or plumping up the lips.
Harley Buttock Clinic uses premium branded buttock fillers from Germany, specifically designed for the buttocks.
It is important to use a quality branded filler. It makes a big difference to the final result and to how long the filler will last.

HOW MUCH FILLER WILL I NEED?
The amount of filler or collagen stimulator required depends on the starting size of the patient, and how much bigger they wish to be.
Small Patient · Modest Increase

A small, slim patient, seeking an increase in volume, may need 200 ml of filler or 4 vials of Lanluma.

Small, Slim Patient
200 ml of premium HA filler cost = £3,600
or 4 vials of Lanluma = £3,950
Medium Frame Patient
300 – 400 ml of HA filler / 6 to 8 vials of Lanluma.
An average framed patient, seeking an increase in volume, may require upwards of 300 ml of filler or 6 to 8 vials of Lanluma.

A patient with an average size body may require a greater amount of filler than a small patient.
As a rough guide, 150 ml of HA filler, per buttock (from 300 ml in total), is generally sufficient to provide an increase in volume.
* Individual results may vary from person to person.

Average Size Patient
300 ml of premium HA filler cost = £4,800
8 vials of Lanluma = £6,200
Larger Patient or Significant Volume Increase
600 ml of HA filler or 12+ vials of Lanluma
A larger patient, or a smaller patient wanting a substantial increase in volume, may require 600 ml of filler, or more.

Larger Patient
600 ml of premium HA filler cost = £8,100
12 vials of Lanluma = £9,200
If a patient is seeking a large increase in the size of their buttocks, then they may be better off to consider a Brazilian Butt Lift, or, for an even larger result; Buttock Implants.
A “Kardashian” sized bottom generally requires either a very large amount of filler (1,000 ml +) or Buttock Implants.
To compare filler to buttock implants, buttock implants are generally 250 – 560 ml in volume, for each implant.
* Individual results may vary from person to person.
Buttock injections are a less invasive method of augmenting and reshaping the buttocks using dermal fillers.
PROCEDURE FILMED
(Small 10 ml procedure with local anaesthetic)
Buttock injections can be performed on an outpatient basis requiring only local anaesthetic.
No hospital stay is required, with minimal downtime from work and normal activities.

BUTTOCK INJECTIONS
Benefits and Downsides
BENEFITS
The benefits of buttock injections using Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers include:
- Less downtime – you can resume normal activities more quickly when compared with buttock surgery.
- Buttock injections are a less invasive treatment option.
- Less pain – buttock injections aren’t as painful during the recovery period as buttock implants or other surgical methods.
- However, some patients do experience moderate to high levels of discomfort when having the filler injected and can opt to have the procedure performed under sedation (while asleep in our hospital), at an additional cost.
- Lower risk – buttock injections do not require surgery and you do not have to be put to sleep (sedation or general anaesthesia).
- The results from buttock injections are predictable, and more easily revised should this be required, by injecting additional filler to a specific area, or at additional cost to the patient.
- In the worst-case scenario, if a patient does not like the result, the filler can also be dissolved by injecting a dissolving solution; however, there is no refund of the procedure price.
- Low risk of scarring and minimal side effects.
- It is possible that you may not need to take time off work, however having a few days away from work is advisable. Recovery time varies from patient to patient.
- Natural-looking results.
- No need to wait – the results are immediate and will continue to improve during the week following treatment.
* Individual results may vary from person to person.

DOWNSIDES
The downsides include:
- Bum injections are an expensive method of increasing the size of the buttocks when a premium Hyaluronic acid filler is used.
- Less expensive methods of increasing buttock size include BBL Brazilian Butt Lift / Fat Transfer and Buttock Implants.
- Pain can still be felt when the filler is injected under local anaesthetic. If a patient has a low pain threshold, they can opt to have the procedure under sedation (while asleep in our private hospital) at additional cost.
- The area may be tender for up to 1 week, or more in exceptional cases.
- Unrealistic expectations. For example, a patient wishing to dramatically increase their buttock size, with only a small amount of filler.
- There is a risk of infection. A full list of the risks associated with the treatment will be explained by the buttock surgeon.
* Individual results may vary from person to person.
With a sufficient quantity of buttock filler, your bottom will appear plumper, like when you have put on some weight.
You will be able to measure the change in size at home with a tape measure, depending on the volume of filler injected.
With multiple procedures or higher volumes, you can add significant volume to the buttocks.
* Individual results may vary from person to person.
BUTTOCK FILLER PRICING
The cost of buttock injections depends on how much filler is required and what brand of filler is used (the quality).
Call 020 3633 2019 to ask whether we can better any quoted UK price.
When considering the price, it is essential to know which brand of filler you are getting.
Economy fillers made in China are widely used in the UK and can produce lumpy and uneven results, migrate, and reabsorb in a short time.
Harley Buttock Clinic prefers HYAcorp MLF2 filler made in Germany.
A lower quality product can give disappointing results that last only a short time, we strongly recommend you get the best filler available.
Ask your doctor to see the box of filler you are receiving, it should look like this.
Harley Buttock uses experienced Plastic Surgeon Dr Gary Horn who is on the GMC Specialist Register (rather than a general doctor).
TREATMENT SUMMARY

BUTTOCK FILLER BRANDS
Why is it important to know which brand of filler is being injected?
Lower quality or unbranded Hyaluronic acid fillers and Hydrogel are injected by several doctors in the UK.
The risks of using these fillers include:
- High risk of infection,
- More likely to be lumpy, or to migrate away from the area in which they were injected (down the thighs),
- Formation of hard lumps and nodules, potentially requiring surgical removal,
- Inflammatory response,
- Short duration (the filler may disappear within a few months).
It is usually not a good idea to inject a cheaper filler for these reasons.
Presently we see a number of cases from across the UK in which lower quality filler has been injected and needs to be dissolved away.
Patients then re-fill with HYAcorp, paying for a second time to have the procedure performed again with a quality filler.
The filler injected into your body should be of the highest quality & purity.

HYAcorp MLF2 is the highest quality Hyaluronic acid filler available for buttock augmentation.
- HYAcorp is designed for buttock augmentation and reshaping
- Made in Germany
- Long Lasting
- Unlikely to migrate (slide down to the thighs)
- Unlikely to be lumpy
- Replacement for Macrolane VRF20 (discontinued).
Economy Filler
Economy fillers are the most commonly used fillers for buttock augmentation in the UK.
- Made in Korea / China
- Don’t last as long (usually 3 – 6 months)
- The filler can migrate over time, usually to the upper thighs
- More likely to give a lumpy result, particularly if injected superficially
- Important to check whether they carry a CE Mark
- More painful to inject when awake – being put to sleep is recommended
When considering that Economy fillers don’t last as long, and the results can be unsatisfactory, they are usually not a good choice for patients.
You will get better value by choosing a higher quality filler.
